WAXING AFTERCARE ADVICE.
Following your treatment it is essential that you follow the aftercare instructions and advice provided to you.

This will help protect you from any adverse reactions and help with the longevity of the results that you have gained from your treatment.

Following your waxing treatment you may notice:
-
Slight soreness
-
Small bumps and redness

This is perfectly normal, is a temporary reaction and symptoms should subside within 24-48 hours.
If you experience persistent soreness and redness please do not hesitate to contact SCL Beauty or seek medical advice from a Pharmacist or your GP

Please follow the guidelines below to ensure that your skin is properly cared for over the next few days:

-
Avoid very hot bath/showers for 24 hours
-
Avoid the sauna, steam room, public swimming pools and jacuzzi for 24 hours
-
No massage for 24hrs
-
Do not sunbathe or use sunbeds for 48hrs after waxing. Freshly waxed skin is more susceptible to to UV rays and this can lead to permanent sun damage
-
Avoid using fake tan for a while as the chemicals can irritate the skin.
-
For the first few days following your waxing use gentle, fragrance free wash and creams to avoid irritation of the area
-
Avoid tight clothing for 24-48 hrs following your waxing to avoid aggravation of the area
-
A few days after your treatment use a dry body brush, exfoliating mitt or scrub and gently rub the area that has been waxed before getting in the shower. Be careful to not to over-exfoliate the freshly waxed area. This will help prevent ingrowing hairs and prepare for new hair growth.
-
Moisturise regularly to keep the skin soft

You will need at least 3-4 weeks growth of hair before it can be successfully removed by waxing.

4-6 weeks is recommended between waxing appointments to maintain a smooth appearance.

Please do not shave between treatments
